Postponed until Wednesday was the knowledge of the coercive measure against the directors of the Dominican Federation of Modern Pentathlon (Fedopem), accused of embezzlement, use of fake documents, and fraud against the State.
The Office of Permanent Attention of the National District postponed the hearing due to the absence of one of the lawyers of those involved in the case.
“The hearing was postponed today because one of the defendants was not accompanied by their defense, and it will be known next Wednesday,” informed Wilson Camacho, director of Pepca.
The magistrate expects the Public Ministry to set a precedent with this process.
“This is our first case of corruption in sports, and we truly hope that this process sets an example since sports is a sacred area,” he emphasized.
